Love that nautical theme mixed with quasi-Bavarian beer hall chic. Flint used to have real style.
Walli's is still there and going strong. In fact, they just added an Irish style pub.
Walli's was born the same year I was...1950. I try to stop by and get some fish and chips when I'm in town. Tasty stuff!
We used to go there as a "special treat" when I was a kid. That would be the one on N. Saginaw. We got all dressed up and everything (if I'm recalling correctly, they had a guy playing a grand piano). It was there I had my first taste of caviar ... almost spat it right back onto the serving dish!
I think the Youth Theater cast partys used to be at Walli's... but I don't really remember them.
The original Walli's Supper Club, unsurprisingly, doesn't exist anymore. It's an empty lot on North Saginaw, between Grand Blvd. & Humphrey in Genesee Township.
The original location burnt down but they reopened the supper club on Pierson Rd.
