  1. Typical Moore. Exploit Flint for profit and public relations and then he runs off to Davision. What a fraud.

  3. Michael's family lives in Davison. I would think that a visit while he is in town would be appropriate. Home cooking and familiar walls. unclebuck

  4. It might be nice to see him grill and misquote some people who truly deserve it this time.

  5. Hi Expatriates,

I love reading this blog, especially when I'm homesick. I just wanted to comment that I like M. Moore because he speaks his mind. I don't agree with everything he says, but I defend his right to . . . Anyway, I wanted to mention that there are other Ex(s) doing things noteworthy. Authors around the country are honoring E. Lynn Harris today. He was born in Flint and recently died. Another author, Christopher Paul Curtis, is from Flint. And, I was born and raised in Flint. I graduated from Flint Central and all four of my brothers still live there.

Can anybody remember the year Superman visited Flint and was in
a parade? This was the superman from the television series in the 60s

    Thank you,

Thanks for commenting. I moderate comments, so it may take a while for your comment to appear. You might enjoy my book about Flint called "Teardown: Memoir of a Vanishing City," a Michigan Notable Book for 2014 and a finalist for the 33rd Annual Northern California Book Award for Creative NonFiction. Filmmaker Michael Moore described Teardown as "a brilliant chronicle of the Mad Maxization of a once-great American city." More information about Teardown is available at www.teardownbook.com.
