Lordd Virgil's Ode to Flint

I present the dulcet tones of Lordd Virgil. (They probably need to update the Durant Hotel material on the video.) I found this via the Flint Talk Forums.

  1. I have seen this video a few times, read the reviews in the Journal and seen all the hype on Facebook. The video is good, the rhythm is even ok for a bit, but is it just me??? The vocals are terrible!!! Just my opinion? anybody agree or disagree?...

  2. Yeah, I’ve been hearing about this video too and read about it at the NPR site. It does sound a little rough (I think he said it was a demo), but in the bigger picture this song is like an anthem to me – my grandpa was a sit downer and my family worked on the line. I can relate to his message too – that no matter how bad it gets, this guy is proud to be from Flint and he’ll die here just like his friends and family did.

  3. They lifted and used quite a bit of my work in here... I'm flattered!

  6. I like it! Do you suppose the pearly gates are actually going to be lighted arches for the few of us that stuck it out?
