Special thanks to Deb Knudsen for the photos.

  1. Nice photos. It makes me wonder about all the other unseen photos sitting in someones drawer or closet. I have some myself, and I'm sure just about every other person does too.

  2. I know, Gerry. Everybody needs to get those scanners humming. I love the so-called amateur photos. They're usually far more compelling than the professional stuff of Flint.

  3. There were several local firms involved in the construction staking along the river and I was employed at one of them. Pity that no one -- owners, managers, field guys -- had the wisdom to record more of the event on film.

  4. It turned out pretty nice all things considered. I had my wedding pictures taken at Riverbank in 1995, then proceeded to the reception at the North Bank center. Will have to scan a few.

  5. I still miss the old Coney dog places though.
