Flint Photos: The Willson Park Sycamore in Springtime

  1. I love that sycamore. I used to take my "Green Arts" students out to see it every semester. And now it'll be right across from the new Farmers' Market -- I hope lots of people notice and appreciate it -- in fact, that whole little park is pretty sweet, and a wonderful neighbor for the new market.

    1. I was checking out the new market construction site this week, and it really is an ideal location in terms of downtown synergy. I've been pretty vocal about my belief that they should leave it where it is, but if it's going to move this is a good location. My only hope is that they don't design some sterile, modern facility.

    3. It's true. I'm ashamed. But I couldn't think of a better word.

    4. Try gentrification or Fentonification instead.

Don't be ashamed, we still love your Civic Park lovin' azz anyways.

  2. Oh, and it's Willson, by the way.

    2. "An absolutely iconic portrait of the softer side of Flint". You can quote me on that. Just be careful when you go there and don't have a youthful naivete out of proportion to reality.
