They seem almost obsessed with Flint, even though any number of Midwest cities that have deindustrialized could serve as examples in their stories. It seems Flint keeps finding new ways to distinguish itself. Unless of course this is a national trend, in which case the NYT will write about it, featuring Flint as an example.
