  3. is this the place on Center Road acroos from the Courtland Center. Its a freaking mold infested dump now a days. It isnt HoJo's anymore. We just to party there in the 80's. Brought my family back to Flint a few yearsa ago and stayed there, we changed hotels after the first night!

  5. I assumed this was on Miller Road, but I'm not exactly sure. I'm realizing I went to the HoJos on Miller a lot — the Concordia 76 soccer team used to meet there for out of town games — but I can't remember if there was a hotel in back.

  7. It was on Miller Rd and long gone. There is a gas station, Applebees, Don Pablos, and a Lonestar Steakhouse there now. The one across from Courtland was an Econo Lodge for years, but may have been a HOJOs before. The building did not have near the character of this one. The EconoLodge is 70% gone now and is a Heartland Inn or something like that.

  8. My mom and aunt worked there in the 50s & 60s (if this is the Miller Rd location.) Mom cleaned rooms and my aunt worked in the laundry. I spent many days either helping mom clean or my aunt with the ironing machine. Man, that laundry room was a sauna during the summer.

Lot's of great memories of the managers. They would always take time to play. :{)

  9. Are you guys sure this is Flint? Look at the beautiful blue sky with the wispy clouds and the sun-soaked table umbrellas. You can see by the photo that the air is 85degrees and the pool water is a cool 82 degrees.

Hold it...there are no people in this photo! Yup, it's Flint.
