Selling Cars: 1977 Chevy Monza Spyder Advertisement

  1. I like the quote, "There were too many of you out there who refused to forget that performance is more than pinstripes and fancy wheel covers." Apparently, none of the automakers cared that much, because there are still 'sport' editions that are just that. I do dig the Monza, though.

  2. My Mom's went for 120,000 miles before she sold it. Not bad for a 1977!

  3. "more than pinstripes..."

Yep-Big spider decals, and cheap, ill-fitting plastic too.

Chevy Monza Spyder...'if you're still reading this, then it's for you!"

Anyone else see this as ironic ad copy?
