The much-heralded Detroit Tigers start the season with four straight losses. Jim Hawkins of the Macomb Daily sums up the season so far:"The season Tiger fans have been talking and dreaming about for four months, is fast turning into a nightmare. Four games -- and four failures -- into the eagerly awaited new year, the fans' optimism and enthusiasm has turned to boos."
