Okay, people -- help me out here. I like to think that I know more than a thing or two about old Flint buildings but I'm clueless on where this place is (was).
Cooley,Go to this post for a clue...http://www.flintexpats.com/2008/09/hotel-named-after-tavern.html
Thanks, Gordo. Guess my memory's not as sharp as I thought it......er, what were we talking about?
Doesn't look muck like a Motel to me- am I missing something?
The Flint tavern hotel is on the corner of MLK and third ave. It used to be Marion inn..a senior citizen home.....
And now it's owned by Odyssey House, as a place to go for battered women and their children.
I currently work in the building. Odyssey House is a residential family treatment center. That section of Third Ave is now called University Drive.
Thanks for commenting.
