A Bar By Any Other Name...

Okay, this may just be a fellow Flint Expatriate messing with me, but does anyone remember a bar on Dort Highway called...The Toilet?

  1. I believe that would be the State Bar...lovingly referred to as "The Toilet".

  2. I have some photos of me playing with the band there back in the 80's. http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewPicture&friendID=158300217&albumId=78176 That was the gay bar on Dort, "Not That There's Anything Wrong With That".

  3. Alright, which photo? The one with the shamrocks? And I didn't realize you'd played the IMA!

  4. Yes the shamrock one and the two after it. Yes my band Pursuit played the I.M.A. in 1981. Only 1000 people showed up and we lost $10,000. But I did get back $4,000 as a business loss at tax time. Here's the link for that band. http://www.myspace.com/purrsuit
