  1. Only 22% of all homicides are solved? Flint has been in crisis mode for decades, but this is off-the-charts. The State Police hasn't solved the problem, time for Obama to send in the Feds. Seriously, killers in Flint have to be concerned that that they might actually get caught.

  2. It crushed my heart when I learned about the murder of Antonio Bell Jr. in Mott Park. I lived on Joilet just around the corner from there until I was seven years old. I'm sixteen now. And while I was glad to get away from everything that was going on there, I'd always dreamed of coming home one day. Mott Park was the border. It stood strong there defying the plague that had taken over Flint. To learn that it too has fallen just crushes me. And to think of that poor boy who was killed there. It's just too awful.

    1. Mott Park hasn't fallen. We're still quite strong, actually. Antonio Bell and his murderer weren't from Mott Park but decided to do their shady business here. His murderer has been convicted.

On the second anniversary of the murder, last Sunday, we had a "Police and Security Professional Appreciation Day" in Mott Park. The turnout was massive and it was a peaceful, fun afternoon for the neighborhood and surrounding area. We haven't fallen. Mott Park isn't going anywhere.
