Flint Photos: The Former Sweet Marie's Candy Shop on Chippewa Street

  1. Wow this picture brought back memories! I worked at Otto Liebold's from 1980 to 1985. It was a great place to work but in a bad neighborhood! One summer we were eating lunch in the fenced in back parking lot. An unmarked cop car was in our lot waiting for his signal to drive down and pickup a John. They setup a prostitution bust right in our lot!

  2. Of course, there are several "meat" slang terms relating to prostitution.

  3. Wow. I worked at Liebold's too in the summer of '77. I don't remember the candy shop.
