Filmmaker Michael Moore described Teardown as "a brilliant chronicle of the Mad Maxization of a once-great American city." More information about Teardown is available at www.teardownbook.com.

At Boutells on Dort Highway???
ReplyDeleteWater tower in the background looks like it is near the H2O plant. Could this be a lot for Buick itself? It ain't Ken MacGilvary or Blain that's for sure.
ReplyDeleteIt's only about 3500 feet from the likely spot in the auto hauler lot, considering the two visible prep sheds, to the water tower in question. That's maybe even a little closer than from where such parking might have been at Buick City, if such vehicle staging was done there at that time. Plus, if you plot the visual angle for the two prep sheds and the water tower in Google Earth based on the auto hauler lot, it fits exactly.
DeleteSure does look like the car hauler lot on Dort Hwy. I remember seeing the cars from the East facing windows in Lowell Jr High back in 1967
