Celebrate the Civic Park Centennial

On Tuesday, May 14, the Urban Renaissance Center is hosting a Centennial Summer Kick Off to celebrate Civic Park's 100 year anniversary from 2-6 p.m.

The event will take place at Joy Tabernacle and the Centennial Pavilion on Dayton St. There will be food, music, guest speakers, activities for children, and some resources for neighborhood residents.

Mayor Karen Weaver will deliver a proclamation from the city at 3pm.

Applewood will be there with their story collection staff to interview people about their experiences living in Civic park. We would love to have former residents join us to celebrate and share their stories.
