What the hell is going on down there? Well, according to Ford, there's no U.A.W. in Brazil. Apparently the News didn't seek out other opinions.
Thanks to Grumkin for passing this along.
Thanks for commenting. You might enjoy my book about Flint called "Teardown: Memoir of a Vanishing City," a Michigan Notable Book for 2014 and a finalist for the 33rd Annual Northern California Book Award for Creative NonFiction. Filmmaker Michael Moore described Teardown as "a brilliant chronicle of the Mad Maxization of a once-great American city." More information about Teardown is available at www.teardownbook.com.
I must admit that the ability to produce 5 different vehicles in that facility is pretty impressive. I know Toyota has had to idle their San Antonio Tundra plant, while at the same time trying to figure out how to build more Priuses (or Pri-I, Prium, what the hell is the plural of Prius?). I bet they would love to have this capability stateside.ReplyDelete
